Kathryn 'ryn' Chapin

Kathryn “Ryn” Chapin is an artist living and working out of Kansas City.  Ryn is currently enrolled at the Kansas City Art Institute, set to graduate in 2024 with a BFA in Illustration and a focus on concept art/ character design. Her work has been shown in galleries in both Mississippi and Missouri, as well as exhibited in the Mississippi Museum of Art. 

Originally from south-central Mississippi, Ryn was interested in storytelling from a young age, often daydreaming about fantastical worlds since her rural landscape offered little else for a young creative mind. Her work centers around stories set in mystical, arcane, and futuristic worlds, using her illustrations as a way to navigate and explore the intricacies of these other realities.
